U.S. ChartsPat tells us that "Flawless" is up from #4 to #2 on the latest Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart for the week of September 4, 2004.
Also, "Amazing" is up from #10 to #9 on Billboard's Dance Radio Airplay chart for the week of September 4, 2004.
The video for "1985" by the group Bowling for Soup includes a clip like the "Faith" video, despite the fact that the song mentions Wham! Thanks to my boyfriend for telling me about the song!
George Michael is one of 200 people who was interviewed for a new book about the humanitarian work of Diana, Princess of Wales, which will be published next week to mark the seventh anniversary of her death.

Thus far, "Patience" has sold 291,000 copies
in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. You are right, the
album has yet to sell anywhere near the numbers that "Faith"
posted back in the 1980s. The Recording Industry Association of America
has certified that 1987 album 12-times platinum, reflecting U.S. shipments
of 12 million copies.
His last studio album, "Older," has sold 881,000 to date. "Songs
From the Last Century" has shifted 149,000 units and his greatest
hits package, "Ladies & Gentlemen," has moved 932,000.

The official site is reporting that George will not be performing at the opening or closing ceremonies of the 2004 Olympic Games.
The official site is also reporting that George Michael will be appearing at a Breast Cancer Charity Show called 'Tickled Pink' at The Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, September 19th. (See July 26th news for more information.) The show, promoted by Clear Channel, will be broadcast in the U.K. on Channel 5 the following Saturday, September 25th.

The absence of "Shoot the Dog" in Patience in the U.S. is noted in "Artists Risk Rocking the Boat when Rocking the Vote."

"George Michael's "Patience" (Sony), up 144-51 on a 166% sales increase to 24,000 copies, is the Billboard 200's greatest gainer.
