Hey George, i wish you a happy birthday together with your partner. I hope you can play Happy Birthday better than Father Jacob on the stylo. Love and a huge hug from Georgina to you and Kenny.

To George,

I hope that you have a great birthday and enjoy every part of it.

I love your music; I think it is really good. Bring out some new songs soon!

Loads of love,
Rachel Fox

IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY, GEORGE! -- Funny that your biggest fan shares even your birthday, isn't it?

The first time I heard your music was in a mall in Palm Springs. I was about 8 and heard "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" playing overhead. I told my mom that I had heard your song on the radio and couldn't figure out who it was by. Being a BIG fan, she looked at me and laughed and simply said, "I'll give you a hint." Then, I kid you not, in the middle of the mall, she slammed her hand down on the metal side-rail of the elevator and screamed "WHAM!" I laughed hysterically -- not only because I realized your band's name, but also because my mom had made a complete fool of herself!

Strangely, that is one of my fondest memories of my mother -- and the beginning of my appreciation for your music.

Thank you for sharing yourself with me through your music. Forget about what reporters and photographers try to expose, the most intimate knowledge I have of you is from your songs. I can tell you why "Older" hasn't been as popular in the U.S., George -- Americans are generally too stupid and lazy (pardon my candor) to take the time to think about your lyrics and to learn enough about you to understand their true meaning. Well, "I do not count myself among them!" Not that I'm claiming to know you -- as far as your life goes, I know very little, but few could claim to know your music better than I. I guess that's why I don't engage in the typical things an "obsessed fan" does. I don't find joy in standing outside your house or following you around, nor would I know where to start? It was once said that "Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired." I guess that's what it comes down to, George. I don't just want to see you walking through the airport, I want you to know me too. I want you to share that feeling as I do. I want to have the opportunity to give you the same gift of intimacy - metaphorically speaking, of course ;-) - that you give to me with each word you write. That is how much your music means to me, George.

You've been noted as saying that you've made some bad decisions in your career, but I hope that you remember always that it is these decisions that have gotten you where you are today. So, when people ask you what you would change, be proud and say "not a single damn thing! (Michele loves me for the man I am!)" I wouldn't change a thing about you -- it is what makes you so wonderful, and so very LOVED! You are a man of mystery, none could deny this, but damn, George that is sexy. You are absolutely irresistible. By remaining ambiguous about your private life - not just your sexuality, but all aspects - makes you all the more enticing, and gives your music an edge that leaves your true fans (especially me) craving for more!

Oh -- You're Welcome. It was well worth the wait, I'll always wait for you.

Have a smashing day -- I certainly will! CHEERS!

(To the party subject) Dear George,

What's the point of wishing you a happy birthday? I'm not so sure, whether you'll read this message,...

...as you are probably spending your birthday:

j)... in a public rest room ("funny to some degree" you said?) ;-)

e)... with your family

a)... with family and friends

n)... only with friends

n)... all alone ;(

e)... whining because from now on, you'll be heading for forty

t)... celebrating because from now on, you'll be heading for forty

t)... shaving your goatee in its to be shape; it will take you all day

e)... wondering whether Jeannette (aka Julia in ichat) will be at your birthday party in two days

[.]

n)... trying to come up with some text for your letter on the Aegean site, because you're better in writing text on music

u)... in bed, sleeping, because the party will not start before midnight when you actually are 35-years-and-one-day old

m)... wondering to cut your hair again, because everyone says real short looks better on you

a)... ichatting on the AEgean site under a "false" name and laughing yourself crazy about all the - sometimes - stupid conversations :)

n)... standing in front of you wardrobe being happy you prefer black clothes and don't have to think what colours go together, as you're colour blind

[.]

w)... promising yourself to quit smoking, when you realize while searching for a new pack, that you've just smoked your last cigarette in the house

x)... being exited about Wimbledon, because you just LOVE tennis

s)... planning to start the European part of your World Tour '99 in Rotterdam, Holland as you did with Faith '88

[.]

n)... cleaning your house, because the dog ate something he shouldn't have and threw it all up

l)... relaxing; listening to music and thinking: "Should it have been mysong, I would have done it so and so..."

Should you be doing nothing of the above, you are probably reading this message, because I can't think of anything else to do. So, here you go: happy 35-year-old birthday, my dear.

Have fun,
Jeannette.

Happy Birthday George. Be Happy!!

Love ya,
Dondi

Dear George,

I'm a spanish girl who loves your music. I can't speak English very well, but I can just you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I'd like you read this mail I send (IT WOULD MAKE ME VERY HAPPY) 'cause i'm very sad for thinking you're so far away and i'm here, in Spain. Just only thinking you're well there in your country and i'll be able to watch you someday is what make me want to be alive.

You've teached me that the music is something that is inside the soul and I hope you know that there is a person, just a simple person who has you in the bottom of his heart, here in Spain. Nobody likes you like I do, i'm sure.

From your BEST FAN, here in Spain HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Yog.
