I am Shocked and Devastated that a man who reached so high in his career, touching peoples lives with his songs, has fallen so far? My thoughts are with Kenny, Friends and Family! dAN
kenny was crying outside of the court, i am genuinely shocked at this and hope and pray George will come through this !!
I was stunned to see that George was sentenced to jail time. I am grateful that George already began treatment prior to being sentenced. After all, being in jail would be hard enough but going through withdrawl symptoms too would be too much for George. George is so special to all of us; I hope and pray that he comes out of this knowing that drugs was never the answer to his problems. Praying, getting loving support from his family, friends, and unwavering support of his fans, and most of all continuing to write and sing beautiful music are all components to getting through challenges we all face in life. I love you George!! Stay strong!! You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
George, I adore you. I love you because you are a beautiful, kind, humble human being with magnificent talent. I love you because you are the author of my favorite love song. There are so many beautiful love songs, but I always keep coming back to yours. You have brought me great joy. My love, the world loves you. Please face your demons – everybody has them. In the past I also smoked pot. Today I am suffering from a lung illness that the cause is unknown and there is no cure. I can only say that when I smoked pot, I could feel the difference in my lungs. If you find it hard to quit, then reduce the amount you smoke, but quitting would be so great. Life is so short and years go by so fast. It feels like it was 1984 yesterday. The early eighties – the best years of my life, especially because I had your music. My love, we are waiting for you, waiting and praying. I have always prayed for you and will continue to do so. Remember, there is a supernatural Being up there that answers prayer – like Jesus to a Child. Love you like you will never know.

Sorry guys…I think I’m going to take the devil’s advocate position on this one. Let me preface what I’m about to say by sharing that I’ve always been a fervent fan of George and I wholeheartedly believe there is more talent and soul in one of his toenail clippings than most of the new crop of musical artists out there. And I’m also well-aware of his humility and overall decency as a human being. However, George has been in a slow and steady downward spiral for the past decade. For every step forward he takes he moonwalks a few back a short while later. His artistic output has been sparse. His long-term drug abuse and drug-related accidents are well-publicized. His health and overall physical condition isn’t much to gloat about. George has so much to be thankful for….and I mean SOOO MUCH!!! Yet, he seems fixated on what’s missing or lost from his life. I’m not slighting his loss or suffering or grief. All I’m saying is, when you can’t change certain things in your life, you have to accept the cards that were dealt to you and move on. And believe me, George was dealt cards that are far-greater than 90% the world’s population. So, maybe a little kick in the ass and a couple of gentle-yet-firm slaps on the face might shake him out of his funk and put things in perspective for him. He’s been coddled for far too long by the fans and the British authorities. I think it’s time to try an alternate approach before George commits a fatal mistake that could seal his career/life or someone else’s forever.
Dear George,
I am devestated that you have ended up in such a dark place. You are the greatest songwriter and performer ever and your music is the greatest. If I am feeling low I just listen to one of your tracks and I feel alive again. I truly hope you will take this time to reflect on your life and now focus on the positive and reach for help to combat your demons. I think you need to have help with your grievance and think of Kenny and your family. He has been your rock through the bad times and you now need to hold onto him and enjoy the rest of your time together as you only know too well life is so precious and not forever. Come back fighting stronger than ever and bring us the wonderful charismatic gent that you are and sing for us once more. You are forever in my thoughts.
Love forever, an eternal fan
Eve
