George Michael’s Fantasy Remix

I have to admit I was conflicted when I heard the “new” George Michael song was “Fantasy.”

“Fantasy” is one of my favorite George Michael songs — maybe even my favorite of all time.

The song was updated by producer and musician Nile Rodgers.

The song was on the B-side “Freedom! ’90” originally.

On the plus side, it’s still George singing, but to be honest, the original was better.

“Fantasy” is taken from Listen Without Prejudice / MTV Unplugged and will be out October 20th. Please consider buying it from our sponsors Amazon or from Amazon UK.

Take a listen for yourself.

What did you think of the remix of “Fantasy”? Tell us in the comments below!

I think the remix is AWESOME! but it did take 2 or 3 listens for it to gel with me

I dont know why but i always thought the original version was just a very very average GM song (not that there’s anything wrong with average GM) i never even heard it until i got his 1998 greatest hits cd, i thought it was maybe a new song just recorded for that album then when i did some research and found out it was an older song i thought it must have been shelved from an earlier album because it wasnt that good, i didnt realise it was a song that had been on a single and ive read that it was one of GMs favourite songs! its a song that just doesnt grab me in any way but at least the remix is a lot funkier and would make me actually wanna dance. i think Niles has actually improved on the original, thats a first!!! mind you the forthright remix of spinning the wheel is also better than the original, again it turns it into a song you can dance to. i will always love Georges balads but to me he is a person who can fill a dance floor, thats how i first got into his music, dancing to FASTLOVE in 1996, i hope his music fills dancefloors for years to come

Love original, but also love new fantasy and it’s george so it makes me feel like he’s still here. ❤️❤️❤️
