From the official site:
Symphonica will see George Michael hit over 15 countries across Europe from August through December 2011. Some of the amazing venues already lined up include the O2 Arena in Berlin, Piazza Santa Croce in Florence, Palau San Jordi in Barcelona, London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall, and many, many more! He will perform not only a carefully chosen selection of his songs, spanning all his remarkable, near 30-year career, but he will cover some of his favourite songs from other artists. The music will be re-worked and re-arranged for the orchestra which will accompany George at each location. This new classical setting will give each song added layers and new nuances. It’s unmistakeably George Michael, but not as we’ve ever known him.

Ooh, I like the idea of this! This will focus on his voice much more than all the lights, background, dancing, etc. of the concerts.
Im really glad to hear this. So much long anticipation to hear that he has new masterpieces yet to come. His style and musical abilities have far exceeded most of the male artists from his particular era. Cant wait to hear my favorite singer continue on his musical journey. Thanks for the lovely music
George Michael and if this new Orchestra tour is anything like”Songs From The LastCentury”. It will definitely be lovely to the ears….
I wonder if he’ll consider bringing this tour to North America as well? I sure hope so!
A North America tour would be great!!! I really look forward to this if he does consider. Maybe he will……
