George Michael's 'Amazing' Rebound from Mourning

In USA Today's "George Michael's 'Amazing' Rebound from Mourning," George says that signing back with Sony "had everything to do with (Tommy) Mottola leaving. I never had any problem with Sony in the U.K., but America holds the purse strings. If you fall out with the boss, you're in trouble." He also says that touring "will depend on my relationship with the press. I definitely want to do some shows so that I can sing these songs live, but a full-on tour is never going to happen again.

I was just looking through the official forum and noticed that Yours Only George (a.k.a. YOGworld) is getting a modest 11% of the vote for "Favourite GM Website Ever Made." It's kind of depressing considering two of the sites ahead of Yours Only George no longer exist and I've been faithfully updating this site for seven years. But George has my site bookmarked so I gotta be happy. :-)

Happy 7th Birthday, Yours Only George!

Yours Only George is seven years old today, and I have a little story to share with you. Some of you may remember that before George's CD signing I asked for someone to say "hi" to George for me since I've never met George. Well, a funny thing happened. Jill Taylor, a DJ at STAR 101.5 Radio in Seattle, Washington, did an Internet search before her interview with George Michael, and she found Yours Only George. She read my request and said "hi" to George for me during the interview. I had no clue about this until last week. George was very nice, said he knew about the site, and even has it bookmarked on his computer. So if you have Yours Only George bookmarked, you have something in common with George!

I'd like to thank George and all the fans for continuing to visit this site. I think it's wonderful that George has an interest in his fans, and I hope I haven't said anything too stupid in the last seven years! And maybe George might come up with the wonderful idea of giving me a backstage pass to one of his possible concerts next year. Hey, I had to try! LOL! :-)
